2 BLOGS IN ONE. NORTH CAROLINA OFFSHORE FISHING & OUR NEW DEVELOPMENT "BRUNSWICK LANDING" IN HOLDEN BEACH, NC

Thanks for visiting my "BLOG". I hope to share my fishing adventures with you and my latest business adventure as well. 2005 has been more of a business year instead of fishing. Going in to land development has been a real education. Hopefully 2006 will be balanced a little more with business and pleasure on the ocean. Feel free to make comments and ask questions. Don't forget to check out the archives also, on the right side of the screen for additional pictures.

BRUNSWICK LANDING IN HOLDEN BEACH. 3 NEW HOMES AVAILABLE IN SPRING 2006

My partner and I, Doug Weaver of D & S Developers, LLC are developing "BRUNSWICK LANDING" in Holden Beach, NC. This will be a cozy 22 lot, wooded subbdivision. Opening phase begins in Spring 2006. The property is located on Old Ferry Rd in Holden Beach, NC. It's so close to the Intracoastal Waterway, you can easily stroll down to the waterway. Our goal is to build 3 custom homes on pilings in 2006. This picture you are looking at was taken from the Holden Beach Bridge. The docks you see in the middle of the picture on the left side of the waterway, are very close to BRUNSWICK LANDING. Only .6 mile. There is also a very nice Seafood Restaraunt located at those docks. I think it will be great to casually walk down to these docks for dinner and then watch the boats cruise the waterway as the sun goes down? This is a rare opportunity.

SATELLITE VIEW OF PROPERTY IN HOLDEN BEACH

BRUNSWICK LANDING is located on Old Ferry Rd in Holden Beach, NC. This property is wooded and there will be an estimated 24 lots. There will be a single street named BLUE SKY DRIVE, with a cul-de-sac. The street will be curbed with decorative street lights. These lots will be over 7000 square ft. They will be 70' wide and approximately 110'+ deep. This subdivision will be restricted to "stick built" homes (no modular) and will have a Homeowners Association. County water is currently available. Presently, septic systems would be required on each lot, however, county sewer is on the way. The sewer lines on the island are built and construction on the mainland has begun. We have not been given any firm dates as of yet when the lines will be built on Old Ferry Rd. The subdivision will be built with an attractive entrance. Posted by Hello

SATELLITE VIEW OF PROPERTY

You can see in this picture exactly where the property lies in relation to the Island, Ocean and the Waterway. This is a rare opportunity to own a special piece of property in Holden Beach, NC. "National Geographic" magazine calls Holden Beach one of the top 25 beaches in America. From this location you can easily stroll down to the waterway docks. It's only .6 mile. You can have an enjoyable dinner at the Seafood Restaraunt while watching the boats and Trawlers pass in front of you. Maybe you prefer to buy fresh shrimp and seafood at these very close docks and take it home. Perhaps you would rather bring a rod and reel and wet a line yourself and take home a Carolina Flounder. Whatever you want, it's right at your back door.  Posted by Hello

BELIEVE IT OR NOT...DOUG IS WORKING

It's not all 100% fun with us. Only about 98%. We painted the beach house in March 2005 at Oak Island. Observe this photo of Doug working. Photo's of him doing physical labor are rare. Posted by Picasa

I KNOW...I DON'T BELIEVE IT EITHER!!

I told Jake that by practicing his paint stroke, he would become a better fisherman. Then I told him if he didn't paint he couldn't eat. Notice the fishing rods in the forefront. Posted by Picasa
